We are delighted to be able to offer an excellent opportunity for a full time day vet to join a progressive hospital in the heart of Leeds.
This role will suit a vet with 'general practitioner' experience with ECC, surgical, inpatient interests.
This well established RCVS Accredited Hospital and Emergency Service Clinic, provides OOH and referral support to 16 referring surgeries. In addition it runs a thriving first opinion business meaning you will get the best of both worlds; the case variety you expect to find in a busy general practice and the opportunity to work this caseload up and provide high quality, advanced, referral level care to patients in-house. This variety and level of care, makes this the perfect opportunity to focus on and develop in the clinical discipline you are most interested in and, as a practice that is always looking to progress and evolve, they will support you in building up a caseload specialising in this.
The rota for this role is 40hrs per week, 1 in 4 weekends (no sole charge, 10hrs Sat, 10hrs Sun mainly ECC, 30min sick pet consults, inpatient care) with a 4 day week days (Mon- Fri). Generous CPD allowance and cert holders in dentistry, medicine and surgery available for support. Skills required for this role with support and training include;
Oesophageal tube placements
Seldinger Chest Drain placements
Silicone Abdominal Peritoneal Drains
Pig tail urinary catheters
TFAST AFAST
Endoscoscopy
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
Urinary Catheterisation
