This is a rare opportunity to join a well equipped 24 hour hospital in Leeds as an OOH Veterinary Surgeon.
The role is for 7 nights on and 14 nights off. The right candidate will be working alongside OOH RVN and VCA with additional RVN support until 12 pm and in house support from cert holding vets in surgery, medicine and dentistry. This is a opportunity to become part of a practice in house CPD/clinical development veterinary team.
This skilled night team will regularly perform caesareans, pyometra, exploratory laparotomy with enterotomy and enterectomy. On the medicine side they see many Addisonian, Ketoacidotic diabetic cases and sever pancreatitis cases.
The salary for this role is up to £60,000 with £1500 CPD allowance and a team of 15 skilled vets as colleagues.
As an advanced practice this team would expect the night team to be able to deliver, with support and training:
Oesophageal tube placements
Seldinger Chest Drain placements
Silicone Abdominal Peritoneal Drains
Pig tail urinary catheters
TFAST AFAST
Endoscoscopy
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
Urinary Catheterisation
This practice has the very latest equipment and a very skilled team. It is also located close to an international airport.
