Are you a vet keen to work with the latest equipment and cert holding vets in the RVC's flagship hospital?
This unique practice is run independently but is a flagship practice for the Royal Veterinary College so that students can observe that first opinion practice should look like.
The right candidate will be joining a highly skilled team of cert holding and advanced veterinary practitioner status vets with as much online CPD as is desirable!
The role involves a four day week with Wednesdays off. It involves six Saturdays a year, it also involves a share of on call, one bank holiday a year and a fixed night every other week.
The practice has the very latest equipment including an ultrasound machine, digital radiography (general and dental) gastroscopy, bronchoscopy, operating microscope, in-house lab including blood gas, laparoscopy, cautery and a good orthopaedic kit.
The hospital has AVPs in Companion Animal Behaviour, Small Animal Surgery, Internal Medicine and Exotics. Other vets are currently undertaking certificates in diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care and feline practice.
This is a fantastic place to do a certificate and these are fully funded and supported with time off and exposure to cases. The practice can also support a PGCert in Veterinary Education if the candidate is more interested in developing in this area.
The position comes with a competitive salary (up to £68,000) and offers benefits including 5 weeks holiday per year (this increases after 3 years of service), enhanced sick and maternity pay, an Employee Assistance Programme and the practice provides healthy food/snacks on site and a free yoga lesson every week if desired!
